Nichols and Company is a CPA organization based in Columbus, Ohio. Sketch Blue was tasked with working through the interior and environmental design for their new office space. I participated in each stage of the process, from beginning concepts all the way to final art files.
BRAND IMAGE BOARD
Prior to my first day at Sketch Blue, the interior design team was already hard at work on Nichols and Company’s new office space. This was the final brand image board that served as my inspiration.
BRANDING LOCATIONS
These are the areas that we focused on for company branding. There were four main graphic needs: exterior signage, lobby branding, client testimonials, a mission wall, and a vision wall.
GX 01 EXTERIOR SIGNAGE
When initially looking at the exterior, the client decided they wanted to take advantage of the windows above the entrance to have a large scale logo visible from the street. Their abbreviated N&Co. logo was used to assure maximum legibility considering the window mullion interruptions.
GX 02 Lobby Supergraphic
N&Co’s previous office had a small front desk area. In their new building, the waiting area was much bigger. We thought this would be a good opportunity for a large scale graphic to brand the space. The ampersand in their logo represents the merging of knowledge AND their people first mentality to bring great service to their clients.
GX 03 CLIENT TESTIMONIALS
At the core of Nichols and Company are satisfied clients. So to honor them, client testimonials have been framed and hung in the main corridor to the large conference room.
GX 04 MISSION WALL
“Experience less taxing” is the why behind Nichols and Company. They work to make tax season less stressful so clients can spend more time doing what they do best. This mission wall design pulls from the lobby graphic language, and uses vinyl and dimensional letters to draw attention to the simplified phrase within their mission statement. This statement needed to be visible above sit to stand desks throughout the office.
GX 05 VISION WALLS
These are the core attributes of Nichols and Company. This vinyl tonal graphic uses various letter spacing to create a graphic pattern to contrast the other walls throughout the space. These graphics were placed by copy rooms, allowing employees to rest and reflect on these attributes while waiting for prints.
FABRICATION FILES
This along with the full size, unobstructed art file will be sent to the fabricator of this piece for pricing and instillation.
